TomTom Introduces 'Ruggedized' Car GPS Line

Monday August 25, 2008

If you're tough on equipment, or you own a business that requires employees to use GPS under challenging conditions, consider the newly introduced PRO Line from TomTom. The PRO series includes two models. The 8000 model ($459), with traffic tracking and avoidance, a 4.3-inch widescreen, text-to-speech, and advanced lane guidance, also includes menu-lock and PIN features not found in the mainstream consumer-grade TomTom line. The PRO 4000 model ($329), also features a 4.3-inch widescreen, PIN lock, and menu lock, but lacks text-to-speech and advanced lane guidance. Both come with a ruggedized rubber sleeve.
