No need to wonder any longer if the forthcoming Apple iPad and its big, high-res 10-inch screen might be used for a golf GPS app: California-based 3D Golf Course has announced that its app is ready for the iPad. Not to carry in your pocket or stow in your golf bag (although I'm sure some will try), but to mount on a golf cart. 3D Golf Course specializes in high-res, 3D-look imaging of golf courses and accurate course mapping. These features, combined with the iPad's sensitive capacitive touchscreen should put the current crop of cart GPS devices with their yesterday's-tech resistive touchscreens and fuzzy graphics to shame. No release date or price for the iPad golf GPS app yet, but watch for more news here. Meanwhile, if you're interested in golf GPS, you can brush up on the latest dedicated golf GPS devices and the best iPhone golf GPS apps. Image © 3D Golf Course
