I've enjoyed using various dedicated GPS devices and iPhone apps designed for snow sports this winter, but I'm really looking forward to trying a new ski goggle that has not only integrated GPS, but a small heads-up display built in (see photo inset). Boulder, Colorado-based Zeal Optics has shown prototypes of its new GPS Transcend goggles, and they're to be available in time for next snow season - October 1 - for $350 or $450, depending on lens choice. Here's the list of features so far: integral heads-up display, GPS, speed, altitude, vertical odometer, stopwatch, temperature, and time. Zeal also hints at development of navigation, find-a-buddy features and more. Image © Zeal
