While GPS makers such as TomTom and Magellan have brought iPhone car kits to market that include speakers, booster GPS chips, and other extras, Navigon has just introduced a minimalist and sleek-looking model with simple functionality. The Navigon Car Kit comes in iPhone 4 and iPhone 3 versions and sells for an economical $45. It simply provides a mount, adjustable to either portrait or landscape modes, and an Apple-compatible charger with a USB connector and car power port adaptor. I like the look and price of the Navigon, but question the omission of a booster speaker, which I've found to be useful on iPhone car mounts. Image © Navigon
