More Details on Turn-by-Turn Directions, Mapping, and GPS Features of iOS 6 for iPhone, iPad

Apple's new iOS 6 operating system for iPhone, iPads, and iPods due out this fall includes many significant changes and upgrades in mapping, turn-by-turn directions, 3D views, and voice-activated Siri integration. Apple is also licensing TomTom mapping (TomTom owns maps giant Tele Atlas) and possibly turn-by-turn directions and traffic detection & avoidance technology.
