Garmin GLO Boosts GPS for Pilots, Apple Users

Garmin has just introduced the GLO, a portable GPS and Russian GLONASS satellite receiver that dramatically increases the number of satellites available for navigation. This increased satellite profile results in quicker location fixes, more accuracy, and the ability to get a GPS signal in more difficult locations, such as deep forests and urban canyons. The GLO, which is compatible with Apple devices, will be especially useful to pilots and boaters who use the Apple iPad for navigation. "For pilots, an exclusive GLO for Aviation package is available, which comes with a mount, power cable and a free six-month trial of Garmin Pilot, Garmin's aviation navigation app for Apple and Android mobile devices, available in the App Store and Google Play," states Garmin.
