New Garmin GDL 39 for Pilots Provides Weather and Traffic Data

Garmin has introduced a new GDL 39 receiver (see photo) that serves multiple purposes for pilots. Connect it with a Garmin aviation portable GPS, or even an iPhone or iPad (matched with Garmin's Pilot app), and it delivers subscription-free weather and datalink air traffic information, in addition to GPS data from its built-in, high-performance GPS receiver and antenna.
