Apple is set to make a major set of announcements in September, including the release of a new iPhone, and perhaps, a new, smaller-screen iPad. One thing is certain, however, these new i-devices will run on Apple's to-be-released iOS 6 operating system. In the category of GPS and location-based services, there are plenty of goodies in iOS 6, including free turn-by-turn directions (included with the help of GPS-maker TomTom), and a new Passbook app that stores and organizes items such as airplane boarding passes and coupons, and delivers them according to your location.
