Garmin Edge 810 cyclecomputerThis morning at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Garmin unveiled two new cyclecomputer models, the Edge 810 ($499), and the Edge 510 ($329), which both include Bluetooth connectivity to your smartphone (iPhone or Android OS phones), enabling a range of new features. The most prominent of these is LiveTrack, real-time tracking by others, including location, speed, and even heart rate (if you opt to enable it) via Garmin's free online Connect service. "The live tracking feature allows your friends and family to follow your races and training activities in real time," states Garmin. "Invite followers using email or social media, so they can view your live data on a Garmin Connect tracking page. Once they get your email invite, they can click to follow and see your stats and location on the map."

Also new with the touchscreen 810 and 510 models are real-time weather conditions, wireless data transfers, and more. Read on for the full Garmin 810 / 510 news. Image © Garmin
