ANT+ Open Wireless Standard

Definition:

ANT+ is a wireless transfer standard. It is primarily intended for on-device data storage and for low-power, short distance wireless transmission of data. Common uses include transmission of heart rate and power meter data from sensors to a device such as a cyclecomputer or sports watch.

The ANT+ standard is maintained and promoted by the ANT+ Alliance.

As a wireless protocol, ANT+ has a reputation for being compact, scalable, and versatile.
